What is your citizenship? Oromian or Ethiopian?

January 19, 2017 | By Rundassa Asheetee Hundee

Since the Oromo heroic battle against he Tigre colonial rule erupted in 2014, we’ve got groups that run around to produce certain political document that they say will serve as a constitution of the new Ethiopia they are going to build.  But these men seem to forget about the Declaration of the Independence of Oromia to which countless Oromos gave their lives for.  While the Declaration of Independent Oromia idea constitutes a clear manifesto of CITIZENSHIP to Oromia, the document that these men are trying to produce demands certain rights for the Oromo people within empire Ethiopia.  But the question is, can empire Ethiopia  adequately entertain human freedom?
Do those who jump from one thing to the other based on every changing situation have the moral and belief essential to produce principled document?

Egyptian activists fight against Sisi's Ethiopia dam agreement

January 19, 2017 | Press TV

Agroup of Egyptian lawyers and political activists are preparing a lawsuit to challenge President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi’s preliminary agreement on Ethiopia’s Nile dam project.
The agreement which asserted Ethiopia’s right to build the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) has caused grave concern in Egypt over the prospect of the country’s water and electricity supply.
The deal was inked by Sisi, Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn and Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir in March 2015.
The group of lawyers and activists who seek to overturn Sisi’s decision argue that the agreement runs counter to the interests of Egypt.
The activists accuse the Ethiopian negotiators of taking advantage of the agreement and collecting international funding for the project.

Free Dr. Merera Gudina And All Political Prisoners In Ethiopia

January 01, 2017
Currently, the TPLF led regime in Ethiopia is undertaking a mass arrest of Oromos under their draconian law of state of emergency. Recently they jailed the last voice of the Oromo in Ethiopia, Dr Merera Gudina, leading to the imprisonment of almost all leadership of Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC). The allegation for his imprisonment was for giving testimony to the European Parliament about the current violation of human right in Ethiopia. Furthermore, the regime jailed one of Dr. Merera’s lawyers at Ambo prison. So, there is no single opposition political party in Ethiopia that represent the Oromo, a single largest ethnic group in the country.
