In the last two months there has been an increase of battles between the Ogaden National Liberation Army (ONLA) and the Woyane occupation forces stationed in Ogaden.
The latest information reaching us from the ONLA Central Command have confirmed to us that the Woyane occupation forces have taken heavy casualties in these battles which took place mostly in Dhagahbur (Jarar) province.
On 8 December 2012, more than 40 Woyane troops and allied militias were killed and 50 injured in a heavy fighting which took place in Labiga hamlet in Dhagahbur province. Two military transport Ural vehicles full of troops and equipment were also burnt to ashes in the same battle.
On 6 December 2012, the liberation forces raided a military garrison in Gosolaley village in Dhagahbur province killing 18 enemy troops and injuring more than 17 others.
On 7 December 2012, a unit of ONLA forces waylaid enemy troops near Bulaale town in Dhagahbur killing more than 10 and injuring 15.
On 29 November 2012, ONLA forces attacked Ethiopian occupation troops in Hambabalato near Dhuhun town killing 8 and wounding 10 others.
On 5 December 2012, in a battle that took place in Ceel-xaar near Qabridahar, 12 enemy troops were killed and unknown number wounded.
On 20 November 2012, the liberation forces attacked enemy troops in Jiija near Galaalshe killing 8 of them and wounding 6.
On 7 December 2012, 10 enemy troops perished and 12 got injured when their military truck overturned in Heela-dheere near Garbo town.
