Oromo Must Get Ready for all Rounded Struggle in all Corners on the Way to Freedoom

1 January 2013

Since a very long time ago we have lost our nation to Abyssinians, we are continuously struggling with our enemies for more than a century. In all these struggles the Oromo people used much input and harvested a little in comparison because of many possible reasons. In fact great respect to our fallen hero for what level we are today as the great Oromo people who survived all kinds of evil on Earth because of long colony. Paying tribute to our fallen hero and we must keep going towards our final destiny, Oromos right to self-determination up to independence. Much work is left and have to be done as much as possible in this historical moment. There for to reach to our goal we have to be able to list out our enemies of our freedom, know them very well, design different strategy and must be ready to struggle them one by one and at the same time in all corners effectively. So, who is/are our enemy/enemies ? Is such a vital question in Oromo's struggle for freedom.

From the begging it is the enemy who took our land, killed our people and generations lived and living under the same shadow of death. We have enemies and we need to know them all and then fight them in all ways we can. Enemy is a strong word, and emotions like anger, hatred, frustration, envy, jealousy, fear, distrust, and possibly grudging respect are associated with it. As a political concept an enemy is likely to be met with hate, violence, battle, and war. This shows we have enemies and the way we have to respond is also very diversified than the just emotions associated with the word enemy. Just not only war but more than a war we have to respond for our different forms of enemies on the ground at the moment. What ever the method we are going to use to tackle our enemies, our actions must be coordinated and must be in an effective ways. I don't mean we have to reserve ourselves from struggle for our freedom but I mean we have to know which method of struggle for which one of our enemies list. That means the strategy we have to use in the attack of our enemies in our struggle for freedom varies from one form of enemy to another one because we have enemies of different capacities and forms. But all of our enemies must be struggled against if we want to reach to our goal.

In this paper I will try to list out the enemies of Oromo people's struggle for freedom from many corners but not all in fact. I will also try to explain what it holds of and the audience can discuss more on it with examples if possible.
  1. Struggle for freedom against Weyanne military force on our land

Since the cruel Weyanne regime said no to Oromo's right to self-determination up to independence peacefully, it is clear that we have to strength our military capacity and have to fight against the force that occupied our beautiful land by force and killing, torturing, dismantling from our land and working hard to commit genocide against the Oromo people. Weyanne's force is our number one enemy we have to tackle. To over come Weyanne's military force we have to strength our unity and invest money, knowledge, and ourselves to build strong resisting force inside Oromia to derive out enemies out of our land or make them sit around the table to accept our request before it will be to late for them to come out safely.

As our gorilla fighters are operating and showed courage in a difficult situation of the horn of Africa, it demands more to defeat our enemy to the end. Oromos struggle must be lifted to upper level of military operations as much as possible before it will be too late. The rich Oromo nation have it all and can provide if there is strong leadership on the ground. What is missed is just only how to organize and effectively utilize the resource we have. But don't forget that all forms of struggle in addition to military activity will be an extra force to weaken our number one enemy. All are needed and all can contribute some and together we can make a difference for sure. Therefore, all forms of struggle directed towards Weyanne is important and crucial on the way to our freedom.
  2. Struggle for freedom against OPDO's TPLF loving group

As OPDO is responsible for all the crimes TPLF committed in Oromia for the last two decades and now, by no means much positive is expected from OPDO. But the death of  Weyanne's late gang Zenawi resulted in crisis inside EPRDF and specially inside OPDO. Some questions of right, being majority and nationalism showed almost none but very little light from some OPDO's cadres specially from low level of administration in the organization. If the anger started in this organization leads to more unrest, it can possibly affect EPRDF in general and can be resulted in something that possibly brings about the weakening of EPRDF. Therefore if there is may be strong struggle inside OPDO we have to be effective in struggling the group trying to be loyal dog to TPLF and we must work hard to dismantle OPDO from existence.
  3. Struggle for freedom against Ethiopian government allies of Oromo back ground

As Oromummaa is the center of our unity than all other things we have in common or difference, we have to be clear in struggling Ethiopian government allies of Oromo back ground as a person, group, association or organization etc at home and abroad. We must be bold enough to say NO for such Oromo children allies with Ethiopian regime to enjoy in the cost of their innocent people who are hungry for freedom and democracy. Oromo people's demand must comes first before a specific person, group, organization, association, etc specific interest. Slavery under Abyssinians is our major home work to solve first.
  4. Struggle for freedom against internal-enemies

Internal-enemy could be a person, or group and groups where a force specialized in attacking the parent group, organization, society, nation, etc. In our case beyond a clear enemy camp member like OPDO, we could possibly have internal-enemies we have to take care and struggle against them. As I have said before considering Oromummaa as a core of importance than any other things, any forms of internal-enemy in Oromo's struggle camp must be struggled against and defeated.
  5. Struggle for freedom against Ethiophilic but Orophobic Medias

Ethiophilic Medias are those medias that are falled in love with Ethiopia and Ethiopianism but by all means nothing wrong with it. And Orophobic medias are those medias that are seriously working in the preaching the hate towards Oromo, Oromia and Oromummaa. Here is where the crime comes with a specific media fabricating lies, standing with haters of Oromo and Oromia, ignoring the reality on the ground, and telling the fake part of the history of the Ethiopian empire. This is completely unacceptable and wrong which the Oromo people can't tolerate with it. In fact the Gadaa system fruits democratic society of the Oromo people respects the freedom of speech and expressions for all but that doesn't mean that we are agree with the matter. Therefore, such medias have to be isolated and told their mistakes towards such matter. In all possible chances we get the media possibility we have to tell these mistakes and stand against such crimes towards Oromo people, Oromia and Oromummaa and our right for freedom. When being Ethiophilic(loving Ethiopia) and Orophobic(hating Oromo) character mixed in a single media, we have to stand against such medias and say no.
  6. Struggle for freedom against armed groups that are struggle not for their own freedom but for repression of others

These days we are hearing many about the armed groups that are saying they are operating in Ethiopia but not sure that are formed for fighting to become oppressors of the other people rights including the right of the Oromo people. They think that it is right to colonize the Oromo state and other oppressed people in the Ethiopian empire for ever for their respect to Ethiopianism. The unity of Ethiopia has got nothing to do with the Oromo right to self-determination up to independent. Such political groups and activists must be clearly identified and opposed by necessary means since our freedom is by no means a gift from others.
  7. Struggle for freedom against Ethiopian dictatorial regime involvement in religious matters

The peak of repression by TPLF regime has gone far to involve in religious affairs of Ethiopian Muslims and Christians even to assign religious leaders as well. For instance the Ethiopian Muslims question for right of freedom of religion is resulted in arrest, torture and even death of innocent peaceful demonstrators. In the same case, the Ethiopian regime is working hard to assign who will be the next Patriarch of Ethiopian Orthodox church. It is a fresh memory where Weyanne arrested many Oromos on the special day of Irreecha to show disrespect to Waaqeffannaa. Such involvement of the TPLF/EPRDF regime must be stopped and can not be tolerated at all. This is not only a matter of the members of a specific religious group but it is a matter of right of human kind which have to be struggled in unity with others for. There fore, since the Oromo people are again suffering a lot due to such government's involvement in religious affairs, it demands us to be ready and struggle against such government's evil deeds.
  8. Struggle for freedom against individuals, groups, organizations, associations etc working to weaken our unity

Ideas and deeds to weaken Oromo's unity can be advertised or publicly aired in an attempt to weaken the unity of the Oromo people with the goal of dividing the existing force, resource, energy, knowledge, etc and negatively affect Oromo's struggle for freedom. The long way to freedom we have been through demonstrates the efficiency of such acts in Oromo struggle so far. There fore, we must fight tenaciously against any act which appeared to weaken the unity of the Oromo people.
  9. Struggle for freedom against the so called "Ye Hager Shimagilewoch" or Elders of Weyanne Junta

Negotiation is a dialogue between two or more people or parties, intended to reach an understanding, resolve point of difference, or gain advantage in out come of dialogue to produce an agreement upon courses of action, to bargain for individual or collective advantage. I don't mean we have to fight against any negotiation but I mean any negotiation must be to the advantage of the Oromo people if it involves about Oromo and Oromia matters. These days there is a group of people from different status and back ground collected together and running up and downs to negotiate between Opposition groups and Weyanne Junta. As Oromo's interest for freedom is a basic issue and goal of the Oromo people's struggle, in any possible negotiations if any, can not be compromised with others interest of Ethiopianism or colonization of others. We must stand awake and wait to struggle against such possible  negotiations which tries to affect Oromos right of self-determination. Any negotiation by individual or group or organization involving the Oromo people with the Weyanne Junta must be based on the basic Oromo right to self-determination up to independence or no more negotiation at all in the cost of Oromo nation. Therefore, such "ye hager shimagilewoch" old game must be known before hand and tackled well for the sake of Oromo people's struggle for freedom.
  10. Struggle for freedom against other nations and international organizations that ignored Oromos right for freedom

Here again I don't mean we will be in war with other nations and organizations but I mean we have to struggle more in the diplomatic fields as well for our freedom. We appreciate those nations and international organizations in Africa or long away that understood Oromo's problem and showed concern to contribute little if not enough. But we have to struggle more in diplomacy get heard our voice to the world and get international support as Oromo people and Oromo's nation under colony still in 21st century. We must not allow many nations and international bodies to ignore Oromo's problem as a minor and let it go the way it is. We have to show courage and speak loud against such nations and organizations in all possible stages to consider the reality in Oromo's nation. This part of our struggle more can be done through the Oromo society living in exile if united together and be an effective force than struggling among each other for nothing. Here the international medias bias is also one factor with the international attention towards the Oromo people. I hope those of you who encountered questions like "who are Oromos ?" "I heard about Ethiopia but I never heard before about Oromia" etc questions in the western world can understand what I mean and got me what we have to do as well. In diaspora there is a purposeful agenda of masking the Oromo people and Oromia with Ethiopianism to western world. Therefore, the counter act to show our selves to international bodies as ourselves but not others exists in our effectiveness of diplomatic struggle more than ever.
Since it is not simple to list and discuss all lists of enemies or obstacles of the Oromo people's struggle for freedom even half is impossible, I have to stop here and leave the rest for you. But I want to underline that if we are in unity and act to defeat our enemies, there is no doubt we shall overcome all and get our freedom.

Victory to the Oromo people

  2. Guys I think it is the right time to think about unity and struggle for unity and democracy but not for division and hate. As an Ethiopian we can build a democratic nation where human rights respected and all can live in freedom. we have to stop working for division but we have to invest all of our energy for unity of Ethiopia and democracy.

Yes for a media it is better to sing about a country than just to talk about single Ethinic group. That is what the Other Ethiopian medias in diaspora are doing but few only cry for ethnic issues than for their country. Zeregna mediyawoch ahunim yitfu Ethiopiayawinetin yemiyatenakiru mediawoch gin medegef alebachewu. the writer is in full of hate to mama Ethiopia but that is a shame. Long live Ethiopia

  5. We the Oromo people only lack Unity and that is why we are living under colonization and even Habeshas colonized us not because of they were special or warriors but just only because of the Oromo people lost unity and helped the enemy to attack one another. This time also the same thing is going around in the Oromo's matter. Unless we solve our problem of division Oromia will be under colonization atleast for the next 100 years more. Please Oromo people can we accept one another, respect one another, advise one another and love one another? so after that we can build a strong resistance to habeshas force and stand together to get back our land and Oromia republic will be a reality. Please unity unity unity unity otherwise next 100 years Oromia will be just a dream.

Only The Tigre people are enjoying life in Ethiopia with full rights and others are slaves. There for not only Oromos needs right in Ethiopia but all have to free from TPLF/Weyanne. so let us be together and struugle against weyanne and Ethiopia will be a democratic country. don't be foolish division is not good afterall haven't you heard that even OLF said no more divison from Ethiopia but democratic Ethiopia ? That is wonderful. Now i started to love OLF bravo but tebaboch think over it. Thank you.

If the Oromo scolars, politicians, and other responisble bodies sit around the table and discuss to solve their differences it is shur no body can stop us from getting our freedom other wise nothing comes. If we can struggle our enemies in unity we can win our enemies but if we continue divide our force the way we are doing it now ,we will live under slavery for more years and evn generations who knows.
