KUWAIT CITY: = An Ethiopian housemaid suffered injuries in different parts of her body after jumping out of a car driven by a Syrian man who allegedly tried to rape her.
The housemaid told police she asked the Syrian, who works as a driver, to give her a ride from Shaab to Jahra where she was supposed to meet a friend. However, the driver suddenly turned to a deserted yard with the intention of raping her, so she jumped out of the moving car and called for help. Luckily, a Kuwaiti, who was passing by the area, saw the housemaid and called police who arrested the suspect.
Initial investigations revealed the Ethiopian works as a cook for a ruling family member residing in Shaab. She was referred to the hospital, while the suspect was taken to Jahra Police Station for questioning and other necessary legal action
