The Crumbling Palace of Abbaa Jifaar; Oromia’s Historic Heritage Under Attack: the TPLF-led Ethiopian Govt Stalling Plan to Restore the Abbaa Jifaar Palace

These days, TPLF is busy trying to deceive the public that its satellite organization in Oromia has been a caretaker of Oromo’s historic, cultural and environmental heritages in Oromia. The truth is TPLF has been the #1 enemy of Oromia’s historic, cultural and environmental heritages over the last few decades: more damages have been launched on Oromo’s heritages in the last twenty years than ever before – such as, the crumbling palace of Abbaa Jifaar; the banning of the Oromo indigenous religion – Waaqeffannaa; the burning forests of Chilalo, Bale, Cuqqaalaa and others; the banning of Oromo horse-riding competitions (Oromo equestrian races); the banning of the Macha-Tulama Association; the banning of the Irreecha at Mount Cuqqaalaa; the banning and elimination of Oromo music stores — these are just some of the overt and covert attacks on Oromo heritages over the last twenty years under the TPLF regime. TPLF is the #1 enemy of Oromia’s historic, cultural and environmental heritages, not the caretaker as it’s trying to vuvuzela today for the election.
